"Gemstone's and Free Will"

Fall his here in "Arizona" and the gem shows start. "Tucson" has one of the largest gem shows in the "World" each winter, the whole city is consumed by it. Each year it gets harder and harder to be able to find parking near the main attractions, Every hotel parking lot becomes a gem show, every drive way is for rent, but once you get in with the stones, it's worth the effort. Some thing magical happens, your surrounded by people from around the world. The Australia's with their "Opal's", "India", "Pakistan", "Afghanistan", "Mexico", etc., money and gem stones flowing. If their is a new gemstone discovery, it's debut will be in "Tucson".If you watch jewelry shows, they'll always talk about the "Tucson" gem show. The best shows are around the convention center, down town and better hotels, even hotel lobbies, are turned into selling places. A few tips if you go, park away from down town and call a cab, or bring a bicycle, food is terrible so plan for that, "Tucson" has great Mexican food places, just not in the center's where the gemstones are. The sad part is beads are consuming a lot of the shows, people selling them are from mainly poor third world countries, it's cheaper to fly someone in from another poor country, than to hire the locals, who are Hispanic mainly from near by Mexico.(can't keep my eyes off, what's going on behind the scene) The beads shows, are like a satellite, surrounding the stones, mainly in area's around the edge of town. "Tucson's" gem show is a whole different story than the rest of the gem, rock shows in ''Arizona". At other show's, here you'll find the salt of the earth, the people "America" is proud to call "American's". "Quartzsite" has a great show, where over one hundred thousand people converge in the desert north of "Yuma". You go to it like, your going out for a hike, row after row of dusty paths of rock and gemstone vender's, just open desert one day and next day, a gem show. But here you find the humble people, rock people for the most part are earth, an understanding of how nature work's. If you really know what has to happen to create gemstone, that can be humbling, knowing how old the gem is and what it went thru, to be their in your hand, to me that's "God" present! A lot of "Religion's", talk of the gem's in "Heaven", when you die, their probably out their, some type of gemstone's come in on "Meteor's. You never see a slick Willy at a rock or gem show, just earth people their, who are getting old now, not much youth do you see, like when I was a kid, where a few rocks, could be a school project. The EPA and technology have reduced the number of geologist needed now days. Gemstone mining is not so harmful to the enviroment as, other types of mining, no open pits, just chasing a vein of crystal.
